Encounters, murders, kidnapping, child swapping and eve teasing... it's all happening rampantly in Mumbai. Touted as one of the safest cities in India, Mumbai seems to be under a threat.

A team of efficient detectives known as Special Squad is working very hard to expunge crime in the city. This squad of crime fighters attached to the police department is all set to take on the most devious and deadliest of crimes reported in Mumbai. With their expertise and cutting edge forensic detection, this Squad, tracks down crimes that are meticulously planned and brilliantly executed. This will be aired in a special four-epiosde from 21 March onwards every Monday at 9.30 pm on Star One.

Announcing the series, Star One programming head Ravi Menon said, "Special Squad chooses subjects and solves cases which our viewers can associate with easily. Mumbai Unsafe is another step in that direction."

The 21 March episode will telecast Celebrity Cops wherein Special Squad is called in to investigate a bizarre killing concerning two famous encounter specialists belonging to the Crack Squad - Raja and Amod. Raja and Amod kill the underworld guy Sadique but Amod then dies of multiple bullet wounds inside the hideout. The case becomes really contentious when the discover a cop from Narcotics Kapil Verma lying injured with a bullet wound inside the hideout and it looks like he had shot Amod dead. Aryan's investigations slowly finds himself estranged from the whole police force which thinks he is unnecessarily probing into things that don't concern him.

The 28 March episode will telecast Murder In Stamp Paper Scamster's Flat wherein Special Squad is called into investigate a bizarre murder that has happened in the flat of Abdul Qazi, a prime accused in the stamp paper scam. On 4 April Bachhon Ki Hera Pheri will be telecast. With Aryan gone, there is a tussle for leadership in Special Squad Ved and Shaina being the prime contenders. And comes a case of an infant being exchanged from a Mumbai Hospital.

The 11 April episode will telecast Ek Actress ki Maut. A well-known actress of Mumbai is found dead in her flat Prima facie it looks to be a suicide... Did she commit suicide or was it a Murder? Who killed her? Special Squad will unravel it all on Star One.
