NEW DELHI: 360 Degree marketing and branding agency Gemius Design Studio bags creative and digital mandate for Surat City Traffic Police, the government body that manages the traffic for four zones of Surat and is responsible to manage over 32 lakh vehicles plighting on the roads of Surat.
The agency shall be amplifying the digital presence of the government body to ensure the citizens of Surat get a platform to share their views, concerns, and grievances. Growing traffic is one of the largest challenges of a rapidly growing city like Surat and during these times where most of the population is consuming content through digital media, boosting the digital presence of the Surat City Traffic Police shall help in building a deeper connection with the locals especially young citizens.
Surat City Traffic Police DCP Prashant Sumbe said, “With the growing urge of digital interactions and communication, Surat City Traffic Police department found it apt to explore the domain of social media to establish a connect with the citizens. Through the means of infographics, content creation, and interactive dialogue with the citizens, we intend to create an online community that can eventually lead to better practices and execution of rules among the city. Our creative approach has been on the lighter note so as to attract millennial audiences and be connected with the youth."
To execute this thought, Gemius came in as a good help. The thought process of the team at Gemius is in synchronisation with that of the office of Surat City Traffic Police. They have been helping us to give a creative and appealing form to our ideas and create the right kind of content and campaigns to engage the audiences and grow our reach, which we believe will soon convert into a positive wave towards better traffic governance in the city.
Confirming the appointment, Gemius Design Studio co-founder and captain Saurabh Pacheriwal said, “We were glad to know that the responsibility of Surat's Traffic Department is in such fine hands. We were surprised by the approach the officials, especially DCP, had towards bringing in new-age technology to interact with the citizens. We are glad they chose us to take care of their digital duties and campaigning. We are working on creating interactive and informative content that can act as a one-point source of information in the longer run."
Key account manager Tanvi Khandelwal added, “The team is extremely excited to be working on the digital accounts of Surat City Traffic Police. A lot can be done and we are exploring innovative ideas which can also lead people to a mix of offline-online interactions. The city of Surat will see some amazing things happening on the ground soon in the future."
