MUMBAI: ET NOW the 24 hr English business news channel conducted an exclusive wealth management workshop ‘BUY NOW SELL NOW‘, in Mumbai which was moderated by ET NOW‘s Senior Editor Nikunj Dalmia and anchor Ayesha Faridi. The session was presided by Mr. Parag Parikh, Chairman, Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services and Mr. Deven Choksey, MD, K R Choksey Securities.
The workshop enlightened the participants with market trading strategies, sector specific trading calls and stock tips. It also contributed in enhancing the participant‘s knowledge on market related anecdotes and trade analysis.
Mr. Parag Parikh- Chairman, Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services shared his views on different sectors ranging from Infrastructure to Gold from Commodity to current outlook on the markets. With over 6000 stocks listed on both the exchanges he explained why one shouldn‘t really be bothered about the Sensex/Nifty movements. He also commented on why IPOs never come in the bear markets, why inflation is good while one is invested in stocks and why breakthrough technologies/innovations are good only for consumers of the product & may not be good for the investors. He emphasized on the various strategies to be followed in the market by the investor/trader to make successful investment/trading decisions.
While Mr. Deven Choksey- MD, K R Choksey Securities, touched upon trends in FDI & FII fund flow in India, its impact on stock markets and how much liquidity can the markets absorb. He highlighted the various wealth creation opportunities available to the investors/traders in the current market scenario and also shared his mantras & methodologies for identifying potential sectors and picking the most profitable stocks. He explained how the art of investing is a function of age group & risk apetite. He also commented that a double dip recession in US is unlikely with the various financial data emanating from US clearly show that worst is over for the economy.
