MUMBAI: A city recognised as the financial and entertainment capital of India, this October, CNNGo explores the other side of Mumbai, taking viewers beyond Bollywood and beyond the bulls and bears of Dalal Street. An eclectic group of Mumbaikars, each uniquely representative of the many faces of this cosmopolitan city, take us on a guided tour for an insider?s look at Mumbai. CNNGo Mumbai will go on air on Saturday October 16 at 1330, 2000 hrs, Sunday October 17 at 1200, 2000 hrs and Monday October 18 at 0800 hrs.

CNNGo walks the streets of the vibrant and historic Chapel Road with visual artist Dhanya Pilo. She showcases her unique initiative which has converted neglected city walls into colourful works of art with graffiti, slogans, caricatures and even social service messages on issues ranging from the dangers of smoking to environmental degradation. We then make the steep climb to the top of Gilbert Hill for stunning sunset views of the city below.

Architect Kapil Gupta treats us to spectacular views from the roof of the Imperial Twin Towers, the tallest residential structures in Mumbai as he discusses the changing urban landscape of the city. We also spend an evening with him at one of his most celebrated buildings, The Blue Frog. This Mumbai hotspot is a hybrid between a restaurant and an opera house and is built at four levels allowing all patrons a clear view of the stage during the frequent live performances.

Milliner extraordinaire Shilpa Chavan or ?Little Shilpa? as she is fondly known is the world of fashion gives us a look into her creative world. We accompany her backstage as she displays her latest creations at Mumbai?s ?Lakme Fashion Week? and go shopping with her in the bazaars (markets) near Guleswar as she sources materials for her quirky yet chic creations.

From new world glam to old world charm, young film producer Mukul Deora, takes us to ?Edward Cinema?, a heritage cinema dating back to the mid- 1800s with all the grandeur of a nineteenth century opera house. Then Celebrity VJ and sports commentator Gaurav Kapur takes us to Azad cricket maidan (ground) and shows how the locals play cricket. All this and more, this month on CNNGo.
