KOLKATA: Indian short-format video app Mitron TV announced strategic hires to the senior management team amid a period of explosive growth. Ex-Republic executive Rumit Anand has joined Mitron as vice president of product. Rajiv Patki, who previously was at OYO, has been appointed as head of product and strategy. Mitron has been on an aggressive hiring spree, having welcomed a cohort of new talent over the last few months in a bid to bolster its senior leadership team.
In their new roles, Anand will lead the next wave of innovation for Mitron, along with creating solutions that maximize users’ value while Patki will lead a cross-functional team to develop and test product enhancements aligned to strategic developments.
Anand has over 14 years of experience in the product space, having worked at leading media companies such as Republic TV, Big FM and Fame Digital. He has accumulated extensive expertise in the digital product space, unrivalled industry knowledge and strong leadership skills. He was also featured as one of the top 10 publishers within a year of operations at Republic TV, having scaled their digital content operations from scratch.
Prior to joining Mitron, Patki was part of the strategy team at OYO and was responsible for growth initiatives in dynamic pricing, revenue management and customer loyalty programs both in domestic as well as international markets. He is a graduate from IIT Kharagpur and has a degree in architecture. He is fascinated by data science and design.
