MUMBAI: Reliance Television, the broadcast subsidiary of Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (RBNL), has appointed Arup Gopikrishna as head of distribution for the upcoming channels.

Gopikrishna will take care of distribution of the three channels of Big CBS. He will be responsible for the market penetration of these channels by entering into strategic distribution alliances with multi-system operators (MSOs), direct-to-home (DTH) operators, and commercial establishments.
 
Gopikrishna comes with over 19 years of experience in the field of distribution. Prior to this, he was with Pacenet serving as business head.
Gopikrishna will be reporting to Big Broadcasting COO Ashutosh.  
 
Said Ashutosh, "We welcome Gopikrishna on board and are optimistic that his domain expertise and past experience will help add great value to our efforts. He will be overseeing distribution of all the channels of Big CBS Networks at a national level."

Prior to Pacenet, Gopikrishna has worked with Zee Turner, Walt Disney International, and TV Today Network.
