Mumbai: With another weekend upon us, it is time to unwind with the latest Q&A edition of Indiantelevision.com’s Weekend Unwind—a series of informal chats that peek into the minds of business executives through a fun lens in an attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better.

In this week’s session, we have dentsu Creative India chief business officer Heeru Dingra.

A Stanford graduate with diverse expertise in marketing and business, she is the mind behind some of the most memorable company-wide initiatives that encompass both clients and employees. Dingra has spent more than a decade at Dentsu and is responsible for the success story of WATConsult, a leading digital agency in India. In her current role, she leads all client relationships and P&Ls across Dentsu Creative India.

She has received various accreditations and has been awarded Agency Head of the Year on multiple occasions. She has been a jury member at several prestigious national and international platforms and is regularly invited as a speaker/mentor at leading management institutions in the country.

So, without further ado, here it goes…

·         Your mantra for life

"What we think, we become." Simply put, while we have the power to define our thoughts, our thoughts have the power to define us. Think wisely.

·         A book you are currently reading / plan to read

Currently reading "The Palace of Illusions" by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. The author narrates the Mahabharata from Draupadi’s point of view to give a woman’s take on this timeless epic.

·         Your fitness mantra, especially during the pandemic

My fitness mantra includes yoga and pilates, which I have been practising for the last 5–7 years.

·         Your comfort food

Home-cooked rajma chawal.

·         When the chips are down a quote/ philosophy that keeps you going

The TiE-MiE philosophy - “Take it Easy. Make it Easy.”

·         Your guilty pleasure

 Reading books.

·         When was the last time you tried something new?

Not too long ago, I tried my hands (and legs) at mixed martial arts, and I failed miserably with bumps and bruises.

·         A life lesson you learnt the hard way

Time changes in no time.

·         What gets you excited about life?

Knowing for sure that there is always one more thing to learn, one more person to love, and one more moment to live

·         What’s on top of your bucket list?

To explore the Nordic region—Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden.

·         If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?

There is no growth in the comfort zone, and there is no comfort in the growth zone.

·         One thing you would most like to change about the world

I’d instil more kindness in the world.

·         An activity that keeps you motivated / charged during tough times

From self-discovery to discovering new lands, listening to music, hitting the gym, and travelling the world are some of the activities that keep me going.

·         What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?

Spending time with my family, my dearest pet, Google, and children in general. They find joy in the simplest of things.

·         Your go-to stress buster

I resort to art therapy; drawing, sketching, and painting are the best stress relievers for me. Art provides a positive way to process my thoughts and helps me bring my attention to the present moment.
