Cameron ready to share 3D expertise with India

MUMBAI: Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron has expressed his willingness to share his expertise of 3D films with Indian filmmakers.

The Avatar director was addressing the opening day of the INK (Innovation And Knowledge) Conference being held in Lavasa, a major new township coming up near Mumbai.
When asked if he would make a film in India, Cameron said jocularly, “Maybe after the third Avatar. But if there is an Indian director who‘d like to make a film - it could be about the Ramayana or the Mahabharata - we can offer the technology we‘ve already developed like the 3D system and the digital 3D Fusion Camera (which he co-developed).”

Cameron also divulged the fact that he has started writing the script for the sequel of his film Avatar II. He was also working on Avatar III.

Talking about India Cameron commented, “fascinating now that I‘ve been here a couple of times.” Cameron previously visited India in March this year, addressing the India Today conclave held in New Delhi where he spoke about the future of cinema.

The director said that he had taken a dip in the Ganga river. “It was nice to feed in the spirituality, nice to share in the belief system. You do feel something,” he said
