MUMBAI: Walt Disney is known to play it up. And oh boy, their latest offering TRON: Legacy, sure does up the ante as far as larger than life goes. And when India?s premier channel, ETC, decides to join hands with Walt Disney, things sure do heat up.

As part of their bid to promote the movie in India, ETC and Walt Disney have come up with a unique contest, wherein ETC has created a promo of the movie Tron: Legacy. Viewers have to identify how many identity discs (the laser frisbees that seem to be the weapon of choice in the digital world) have been showcased in the promo. Blah!!! You say? why take the trouble?

Simple, the winner gets a gratification. Not an all expenses paid trip or movie tickets or a dinner date with the stars. Those are gratifications planned by and for lesser mortals.

The winner will get a TRON: Legacy bike ? the shiny, futuristic neon rimmed black beast that errr?could be called a bike!

The promo is being showcased on ETC, Zing, Zee Caf?, Zee Studio and Zee Trendz from 10th December and will stay on air till 17th December, 2010, when TRON: Legacy releases. And of course the winner will also be announced on 17th December itself.

ETC has always been the channel that has provided an insight into movies ? be it Hollywood or Bollywood. With a plethora of programming to support promos of movies, ETC helps the audience to make up their minds whether a movie is worth watching.

?Indian audience has taken to Hollywood in a big way and this is evident from the number of big ticket Hollywood releases that today promote their movies in India. With its innovating promotional strategies ETC has been instrumental in popularizing several Hollywood movies in India such as 2012, Avatar, Prince of Persia, Salt, The Chronicles of Narnia, all of which have sent the BO registers ringing. The value that we bring, along with the strength and support of Zee Network, in promoting a movie, has seen all major Hollywood production houses, Sony Pictures, Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Fox Star Studios, work with us for every movie.? said Anurag Bedi, Business Head, ETC.

If you are wondering whether a movie is worth watching, tune into ETC to get a lowdown on how the movie looks and you could make an educated decision.
