CNBC-TV18, Moneycontrol to live stream Budget on YouTube

MUMBAI: English business news channel CNBC-TV18 has decided to stream Budget related programming on the YouTube channel throughout the month.
 
With the deal in place, CNBC-TV18 will stream the Budget day feed live on its YouTube channel –youtube.com/cnbctv18.

In addition, the special budget related programming on the TV channel, through the months of February and March, will be made available on YouTube on the same day of telecast.

CNBC-TV18, Moneycontrol and YouTube will jointly promote this initiative on their respective platforms. 
 
CNBC-TV18 and CNBC Awaaz CEO Anil Uniyal said, “The Union Budget day is one of the most important events on every Indian’s calendar and a critical event for the Indian economy. With the growing importance of emerging markets such as India, important financial events such as the Union Budget have mass appeal. We are happy that through this partnership we will be able to make our channel available additionally to the vast YouTube audience as well.”

Google Director Content Partnership JAPAC Gautam Anand said, “We are delighted to partner with CNBC-TV18 to live stream the Union Budget 2011 on YouTube. This is in continuation to our effort to provide Indian users a wide range of content and quality programming around important events such as the Union Budget.”

The livestream will be only available to users in India and will be IP blocked in other markets of the world.
