MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures has acquired the entire rights of the forthcoming Tamil film Muran.
Produced by Cheran‘s production house Dream Theatres on a huge budget, the film has Cheran and Prasanna in lead roles.
Muran is the story of two men with contrasting characters and what happens between them. It is written and directed by Rajan Madhav.
Nearly 70 per cent of the film has been completed. The film is being planned for a release in the first quarter of 2011.
This will be UTV‘s first Tamil film of the year, to be shortly followed by another movie Erandam Ulagam directed by Selvaraghavan that features Dhanush and Andrea among others.
