MUMBAI: The makers of Bhindi Baazaar. Inc have postponed its release from 20 May to 10 June.
"The primary reason to push back the release date of the film is the IPL as it gets all the media slots and the limelight. The second reason being the rush of films in April-May to clear the World Cup backlog," says producer Karan Arora.
If released on 20 May, the film would have clashed with Kashmakash, 404, Pyar Ka Punchama among others.
"On May 20th we have more than six movies releasing and with all those films `Bhindi Baazaar` wouldn`t have got its deserved space. We have locked June 10th as our final release date," said Arora.
Focusing on pickpocketers, Bhindi Baazaar. Inc shows that pickpocket is both an art and a means of livelihood. Ankush Bhatt wielded the megaphone for the crime thriller.
The film, which has Kay Kay Menon, Deepti Naval, Prashant Narayan, Shilpa Shukla and Vedita Pratap Singh among others, was originally supposed to release on 15 April.
