MUMBAI: Ormax Media, which uses Moviescope predictive model, has forecast Rohit Shetty‘s Singham to take a net opening weekend collection of Rs 249 million, assuming that it releases across 1500 cinemas.

The film, starring Ajay Devgn as the main protagonist, releases on 29 June. The other release this week is Anil Kumar Sharma and Nalin Singh‘s Gandhi To Hitler.

Produced by Rohit Shetty, Singham is being distributed by Reliance Entertainment.

Considering the scale of its release and the trade perception about the film, this is going to be an average opening. Secondly, the number of shows for Singham at multiplexes are lower than expected because Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is still going strong.
