MUMBAI: The latest to join the sequel bandwagon is Rajshri Productions. The production house has commissioned the sequel of their 1976 hit film, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, that starred Sachin and Ranjeeta Kaur.

The pair returns for the sequel titled Jaana Pehchana that will have Sachin donning the director‘s hat.

Confirming the same, Sachin said, "It feels wonderful to return to Rajshri Productions. It‘s like a family reunion. The challenge for the sequel will be to delve deep into the nuances of the relationship between the two protagonists, Ranjeeta and myself."
 
While Ankhiyon Ke Jharonko Se documented the romance between Arun (Sachin) and Lily (Ranjeeta) that ends with the death of Lily, Jaana Pehchana introduces Asha (Ranjeeta), an author, who has an uncanny resemblance to Lily.

Jaana Pehchana is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
