MUMBAI: Sanjay Kapoor is set to remake the Rishi and Neetu Kapoor-starrer Khel Khel Mein that was made in 1975.

Kapoor has bought the rights of the thriller from producer Kamal Mukut, to whom Ravi Malhotra, the producer of the original film, had sold the rights.
 
The story is being re-written by Shibani Bathija who had earlier been involved in films like Fanaa, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and My Name Is Khan.

The remake will be made under the banner of Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment Limited.

It may be recalled that Karan Johar is remaking the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Agneepath. Rohit Shetty has already bought the rights for the remake of Gulzar‘s Angoor and Hrishikesh Mukherji‘s Gol Maal, while David Dhawan is remaking Chashme Baddoor. Soham Shah and Sanjay Dutt are remoulding Satte Pe Satta.
