MUMBAI: Starting Up on ET NOW features ‘Startup Showdown‘, a special event where 4 of Pune‘s most innovative product start-ups will make a pitch to a special panel of judges in front of an audience of over 200 people.
Each pitch will be followed by a rebuttal and will be judged on parameters that evaluate the quality of the entrepreneurs, the product, the business model and its propensity to scale. These parameters will be taken into account before the judges announce their scores to the audience. The winning startup will gain entry into ET NOW‘s ‘Super Angels‘, a one of a kind series where a startup will gain an opportunity to raise funding on live television.
The Startup Showdown is a part of ‘PuneConnect 2011‘; an initiative led by Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP), supported by TiE, Pune Open Coffee Club (POCC) and PuneTech, where the start-up community was given a platform to showcase their software products / applications and get the much need advice and mentoring from mid and large companies.
SEAP, POCC and PuneTech invited startup companies to submit their software ideas and business plans in a prescribed format and shortlisted 12 startups .The shortlisted companies were AdMogul, ApplyEzee, BizPorto, CoTrakr, D?j? vu 3D, DroidCloud, InnovizeTech, Kpoint, Reliscore, Vaultize, World Without Me and intouchid.
