MUMBAI: Sarangi maestro and singer Ustad Sultan Khan passed away on Sunday afternoon due to kidney failure. Khan, 71, was undergoing dialysis for the last four years, expired on his way to the hospital.

Having learnt sarangi from his father Gulab Khan, his first performance was at the All India Conference when he was 11.
