MUMBAI: Stephen Daldry, three time Academy Award nominee, will be awarded with the Director of the Year Award for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close at the upcoming 23rd annual Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Daldry will join this year‘s previously announced honorees George Clooney, Glenn Close, Michel Hazanavicius, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Octavia Spencer, Michelle Williams and the team behind "Young Adult, all of whom will receive their awards on January 7.
