MUMBAI: Not wanting to be cowed down by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) slapping a non-cooperation directive against him until he settles his dispute with Salman Khan over remuneration for the 2010 film Veer, producer Vijay Galani has broken his silence on the subject.

"FWICE is not authorised to pass any non-cooperation directive against anybody, unless they are associated with Association of Motion Pictures Producers‘ Association (AMTPP). In my case, I am not a member of the AMTPP," Galani observed.

Talking about him not paying up Khan for his services in his period film, Galani explained, “I do not owe Salman any money at all. I am clean. I know what I am saying. I have kept quiet for too long. Not anymore, though."

According to Galani, he met Khan at least seven to eight times since the film‘s release, but the actor never talked the subject. "I know he has lodged a complaint against me in FWICE. But he doesn‘t have the papers to prove that I have to give him any money," Galani averred.

Galani was reportedly accused of not paying Khan Rs 150 million for the actor‘s role in his 2010 production. Following Khan’s plaint with the FWICE, it passed a non-cooperation directive against Galani, which implies that he cannot make another film in Bollywood until he resolves the dispute with Salman.
