MUMBAI: US pay TV service provider DirecTV has failed to reach an agreement with Viacom over the carriage of its channels. So Viacom‘s channels will not be available to DirecTV‘s customers.
Viacom has said that DirecTV was not interested in engaging in meaningful conversation. DirecTV said that it sent proposals to Viacom which runs channels like MTV and Nickelodeon but never heard back from the media conglomerate.
DirecTV said that Viacom was asking for an over 30 per cent increase, though it had no issue with any fair compensation.
