Nokia with the support of PWD Ministry to add color to everyday life in Mumbai

15th July, 2013: Nokia, with the support of the PWD Ministry, Government of Maharashtra, today added colors to the everyday lives of Mumbaikars by splashing vibrant hues across a few Zebra crossings in Mumbai to launch its campaign #colorisin.

The campaign was inaugurated by Shri. Chhaggan Bhujbal, PWD Minister and Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra and Mr. P.Balaji, Managing Director, Nokia India by painting the zebra crossing outside Sahara Star Hotel. This is the first among 12 Zebra crossings across Mumbai that Nokia will maintain along with Mumbaikars for next 12 months.

Nokia is at the forefront of this ?color revolution? and has introduced colourful devices across price points. By now adding color to the Zebra crossings, the company along with the PWD Ministry is aiming at increasing awareness among citizens on the importance of zebra crossings to pedestrian safety.

Commenting on this unique initiative by Nokia, Mr. Chhaggan Bhujbal, Minister of Public Works said, ?I am very proud of this initiative since we are really starting a citizen movement that will encourage people to start using these crossings and help aid pedestrian safety. We encourage more and more Mumbaikars to come forward and join this movement.?

Commenting at the initiative, Mr. P.Balaji, Managing Director, Nokia India, said, ?It gives me immense pleasure to partner with the PWD Ministry for this unique campaign.
