MUMBAI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the date for receiving comments and counter comments on its consultation paper “The telecommunication (broadcast and cable) services digital addressable systems audit manual” to 29 April and 6 May respectively.

The earlier dates were fixed as 22 April for comments and 29 April for comments. The stakeholders sought time from the regulator. TRAI has said that there will be no further extensions beyond these dates.

On 29 March, TRAI had released the consultation paper on 29 March. It is seeking interest from empanelment of auditors to undertake an audit of digital addressable systems of DPOs. Eligible audit firms can compete.

The period of empanelment will be two years from the date of empanelment. Audit firms must submit quarterly reports to TRAI.
