MUMBAI: Moving ahead in its mission of empowering India through its unique India First campaign, Zee News gained the support of Salman Khan, Boney Kapoor and Prabhudeva; who not only appreciated the efforts of the channel but also supported the initiative in its true spirit. In an attempt to reach out to citizens in the capital, the star cast of the forthcoming movie WANTED partnered Zee News to motivate and educate the populace to come together and forget all the differences to make India First.

At an oath taking ceremony organised by the channel at Vijay Chowk, the celebrities interacted with the youth and formed a Human Chain to spread the message. Appealing to fellow citizens, Salman Khan said, ?I am an Indian. Nationalism is my religion ... WANTED responsible citizens who think about INDIA FIRST?. As responsible citizens of the country and feeling for the cause Salman and other celebrities encouraged people to forget all the differences like caste, language, religion and region and unite to work towards the betterment of the country.

Subsequently, Zee News also conducted a signature campaign and encouraged people to pledge to make India first in all instances. In addition, students from educational institutions also performed a skit and cultural programmes in sync with the initiative. After the performances, Salman Khan distributed CDs, T- shirts and bracelets of his soon to be released movie ?Wanted?.

Successfully running for over a month, the ?India First? campaign has also garnered support from noted personalities like Baichung Bhutia, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapur, Suniel Shetty and many more. Conceptualized to live up to the vision of Mahatma Gandhi?s ?India of my dream?, India First is yet another endeavour from the Zee News stable to encourage and inspire millions of Indians to believe in themselves and pledge to work towards the betterment of the country.
