Munich, May 29, 2013: Hero Motocorp sponsored Indian golfer Sharmila Nicollet will look to make a comeback at the UniCredit Ladies German Open here in Munich. The prestigious event will be played at the picturesque Golfpark Gut H?usern Nr. Munich, Germany from May 30 to June 2, 2013. The ?350,000 tournament is the 21st edition of the UniCredit Ladies German Open. Anne-Lise Caudal from France, who defeated British golfer Laura Davies in the playoffs last year, is the defending champion.

Sharmila, who has struggled in the cold and wet conditions in Europe, will face similar weather conditions this week in Munich and she will have to make some major adjustments in order to repeat her performance at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open at Antalya, where she finished tied 17th. She is keen to prove herself in the big league despite these challenges and is keen to put in her best effort. Another Indian who will be seen in action this week is veteran golfer Smriti Mehra.

?Last week was a disappointing one for me and I really struggled in the extreme weather conditions in Amsterdam. However, I have put that behind and am looking forward to play UniCredit at the Ladies German Open. I am hopeful that I will be able to overcome these challenges and put up a good show?, said Sharmila Nicollet.

The Golfpark Gut H?usern is one of the finest golf courses in the world. It uniquely combines the new dimension of golf and the traditional values of this sport.
