MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment has announced the appointment of Manish Agarwal as the chief operating officer for its digital businesses.

Agarwal will take up his new job from 1 March. He will be responsible for operations across Bigflix, Bigadda, Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited and Jump Games and will report to Rohit Sharma, CEO, Reliance Entertainment - Digital business.
 
Said Sharma, “With India at the digital inflection point, we are expecting huge growth in our gaming, VOD and e-commerce business across all platforms and devices be it Mobile, PC and DTH. We believe that Manish‘s tremendous experience in the digital space will help us in achieving significant scale and growth.”

Prior to this, Agarwal was the CEO at UTV New Media Ltd. He has a total experience of 14 years with six years dedicated to the digital industry with experience in companies like Microsoft and Rediff.

Agarwal holds a post graduate degree in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad and a bachelor‘s degree in Technology from NIT, Warangal.
