BAG Films net jumps 73 per cent to Rs 8.3 million

MUMBAI: B.A.G Films Limited has registered a 73 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 8.3 million in the quarter ended 30 September 2005. Sales have soared 118 per cent to Rs 122.6 million.

The company has a presence in the programming, films and new media business segments besides promoting a Media School.
 

Commenting on the performance during the quarter under review, B.A.G managing director Anurradha Prasad said: "The performance of our programming business continues to be encouraging. Our plans for our film business are progressing well. I believe B.A.G. Films is optimally positioned to leverage the numerous exciting opportunities in the media and entertainment industry."

According to an official release, the company said that in the programming segment Sansani on Star News channel currently enjoyed over 30 per cent market share and was a leader in the 11 pm slot across all channels.

The second academic year at the media school, ISOMES, began from August 2005. The institute offers an array of full time (one year) and part time (six months) certifications for media professionals.
