This Christmas Star World is coming out with a bouquet of programs which will help the idiot box usher in the yuletide season. The action kicks off Christmas eve at 6:30 PM with Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. A musical feast this represented the first of many collaborations between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It stars Joan Collins, Sir Richard Attenborough who directed Gandhi and Donny Osmond. The programme will be repeated on Christmas day at 10 PM
Singer Kenny Loggins Footloose takes centre stage on the channel at 12:30 PM on 25 December. In the programme called Kenny Loggins December the singer performs his favourite Yuletide tunes in the company of some special guests like country music star Clint Black. His album December has just been released by Columbia Records. He will also take viewers inside his Santa Barbara home to see his wife and children put up mistletoe and holly.
Next up is Christmas Miracles at 1:30 PM This one hour special is especially targeted at the kids. Teen icons like Jennifer Love Hewitt who starred in the horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer will read out letters that kids sent to Santa Claus but which landed in dead bins. Their wishes will be fulfilled. People will also talk about the magic of the season, what it means to them and how it is different from the rest of the year.
Finally at 3:30 PM gifted comic Rowan Atkinson appears on Blackadders Christmas Carol. The story is the reverse of Charles Dickens' Classic tale A Christmas Carol. Here Ebenezer Blackadder is kind and generous. One night a ghost visits him and shows him how evil his ancestors were. He shows him the folly of being a good person. Ebenezer too decides that he must behave in an awful and despicable manner.
