Zee English introduces kids' programming block on Sunday mornings

Zee English

Zee English launched Children's Hour on 17 June (Sunday) from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The hour long kid's block will showcase two of the most enduring and best-loved characters of all time - Mowgli and Charlie Chaplin.

Mowgli - The New Adventures of the Jungle Book, an adaptation the Rudyard Kipling authored Jungle Book, is a 26 episode, non-animated, real character series which chronicles the life of a boy who has grown up in the magical jungles of India and starts understanding the language of the animals. Sean Prince-McConnell and Lindsey Peter star in the exhilarating jungle adventure of the man-cub, Mowgli. The show airs at 9:30 am.

The Charlie Chaplin half-hour follows Mowgli at 10.00 a.m and features the globally popular escapades of the beloved tramp with the bowler hat.

"In a competitive scenario, one needs to constantly provide interesting viewer options. Zee English is offering yet another hit series that will provide a further competitive edge to the channel. Both Mowgli and Charlie Chaplin are characters with universal appeal and are the perfect start to a family Sunday," says Zee Telefilms senior vice-president marketing Partha Sinha.
