Moving Picture renews contract for Zoom's 'Popkorn'

MUMBAI: Moving Picture Company has renewed its contract with Bennett Coleman group for one more year for the production of the entertainment news show Popkorn.

The show Popkorn airs on the lifestyle and entertainment television channel Zoom.

The contract covers 260 episodes of Popkorn to be telecast five days a week and 52 episodes of Weekend Special of the programme to be telecast weekly.

The contract has been valued at approximately Rs 60 million through this renewed contract, according to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company had also recently signed a contract with Sahara's Filmy, the movie channel for producing a show Chala Lallan Hero Ban-ne. It will be producing 52 episodes of Chala Lallan Hero Ban-ne, a half an hour weekly programme.

Also, Moving Picture Company had signed an agreement with NL Films of the Netherlands to facilitate co-production of a Dutch feature film Zoop in India.
