MUMBAI: Peninsula Pictures’ much celebrated fantasy show, Vikram Betaal ki Rahasya Gatha will close curtains by end of this month. The show that depicted the famous tale of Vikram and Betaal had engrossed a huge set of audience and was popular amongst the kids. Starring Aham Sharma and Ishita Ganguly as King Vikram Aditya and Rani Padmini, the show had created its own benchmark within the target audience.
Peninsula Pictures’ another show airing on & TV, Paramavatar Shri Krishna will take Vikram Betaal’s slot for an hour long episode till Mid June. The mythological show will take its original slot back post Mid June while Vikram Betaal will be replaced by a new fiction show.
Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvej on behalf of the production house said, “At Peninsula Pictures we aim to bring to the audience untold stories from the Indian soil. The story of Vikram and Betaal was known to masses, but the youth and kids of present age were still unaware of their legendary tales. We brought our version of Vikram and Betaal, with a modern twist and some breath taking visual effects for our viewers. Unfortunately the show will pull off air and the last episode will be aired on the 24th of May, 2019. The other good news is that our show Paramavatar Shri Krishna will take Vikram Betaal’s space and will air for an hour, Monday to Friday till Mid June post which it will take its original slot back.”
