LOS ANGELES: Entertainment Tonight (ET), which claims to be the number one entertainment newsmagazine in the world, has received renewals for its weekly half-hour entertainment news programmes, ET on MTV and ET on VH1.

Hosted by ET correspondent Maria Menounos, ET on MTV and ET on VH1, will air multiple times per weekend on each channel, effective immediately.

President of programming for Paramount Domestic Television Greg. Meidel said, "The renewal of these two shows illustrates the power of the ET brand and its ability to find a strong audience."

An official release says ET gives cable's music television viewers the latest most exclusive news and information on their favourite film, television and music stars.

Entertainment Tonight is currently in its 22nd season.Produced and distributed by Paramount Domestic Television, Entertainment Tonight is taped in Hollywood, California.
