BBC Audiobooks nominated for 18 Spoken Word Awards

MUMBAI: BBC Audiobooks has been shortlisted for 18 awards in 15 categories at the annual audio publishing event in the UK The Spoken Word Awards.

The winners of the awards which are considered to be the Bafta equivalent of the spoken word industry, will be announced on 9 September 2004.

The awards are run by the Spoken Word Publishers Association and judged by a panel of independent experts including journalists, producers, writers and retailers.

The cassette of the latest J.K. Rowling novel Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is competing in the Childrens Over Six Contemporary category. The Tiger In The Well has been nominated in the children's fiction section.
