MUMBAI: Doordarshan will telecast a new Serial titled Har Jawan ki Kassam from 9 March, 2005. The serial will be telecast on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm on the national network on DD-1.

The serial has been directed by Deepak Bawaskar, produced by Rahul S. Anand, music by Sondeep Chakroborty and lyrics by Zameer Kazmi. Mohan Agashe, Dharam Taneja, Uttam Thacker, Hansa Singh, Purvi Jain, Bobby Khanna, Ravi Gehlot and Vishal Pandey are in the main cast.

Har Jawan ki Kassam seeks to show army life authentically and touches on the duty and patriotism and shows how these ideals are woven quietly into the making of a good soldier.

The serial has been shot at actual armed cantonments across the country and attempts to create an awareness and emotionally motivate the youth of today to rethink their priorities and look at the Indian army as not only as a career option but as a responsibility and duty towards the nation that has to be shouldered by one and all.
