MUMBAI: Etc Networks delivered a strong performance during Q3 ended 31 December 2004. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 28.74 million as compared to Rs 25.87 year on year.

The company's consolidated income in this quarter has gone up to Rs 146 million as against Rs 132.4 million last year.

The company will soon launch a new television channel ETC Khalsa – a religious channel in Punjabi language. As per the TAM data ETC Punjabi is commanding 60-70 per cent market share among all Punjabi channels and ETC music is having 35-40 per cent market share among all music channels.

The meeting of the board of directors held today, approved the unaudited results for the Q3 ended 31 December 2004. The official release from the company says that the amalgamation of the erstwhile ETC Networks Ltd. with Econnect India Ltd. is now complete and the name of Econnect India Ltd. has been changed to ETC Networks Ltd.
