MUMBAI: The Football Association has concluded an agreement for 'second party rights' with sports marketing agency Sportfive.

The rights extend to the right to broadcast England home international matches into the territory of the opposing team. Sportfive already has more than 30 European football federations in its second party rights portfolio.

The conclusion of the multi-year agreements follows the acquisition of FA Cup and England rights by ESPN Star Sports. One of the deals is for France. FA Cup games will be shown through Canal Plus. Sportfive will assist in negotiating the remaining European territories.

The FA also hatched a deal for the Scandinavian region, to show the FA Cup and England internationals via the Viasat platforms. This will ensure coverage in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland, says an official release.

The FA release states that the FA Cup and England matches are watched by a global audience in 154 countries
