NDTV, Star Sports to cover ABN Amro tennis Chellenge in India

MUMBAI: The financial capital of India Mumbai will witness high level tennis excitement during the two-day ABN Amro Tennis Challenge. The event kicks off today 10 December at the Cricket Club Of India (CCI).

As had been reported earlier by indiantelevision.com the event gicves uindian tennis players the chance to play in the qualifying round of the high profile 32nd ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament at Rotterdam in February 2005. The top Indian players (as per ATP rankings) who will compete at Challenge in India include Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, Vinod Sridhar and Vijay Kannan.

There will also be a Pro-Celebrity Tennis Challenge. Mumbaikars will get to witness on court the evergreen hero of Indian tennis Vijay Amritraj, the current flag bearers of Indian tennis Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi and Richard Krajicek, former Wimbledon champion and tournament director for the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (WTT). He is also the tournament director for the ABN AMRO Tennis Challenge in India, which will be managed by IMG operationally.
