Sony acquires telecast rights for ICC Super Series

max

MUMBAI: SET India CEO Kunal Dasgupta seems to have this penchant for making big cricket-related announcements at MAX parties.

It was no different this evening during a gala party in the capital hosted by his network's cricket and movies channel.

Come September, and MAX will be telecasting the ICC Super Series for which it has acquired the exclusive telecast rights.

The four match series will have three One-Day Internationals and one Test that pits World Champions Australia versus the "best of the rest". Expectedly, the ODI prize will go to the winner of two of the three One-dayers. As for the Test match, to ensure a result, the five-day match has an option for an extra day kept aside - just in case a victor does not emerge at the end of Day 5.
