Ten Sports bags exclusive rights for French Open

Ten Sports

MUMBAI: The 'Sania Mania' is what Ten Sports looks at to cash in as the channel has signed a new multi-year agreement with the French Tennis Federation, thus acquiring the exclusive rights of the French Open.

Keeping in view the huge viewer interest in Sania Mirza, Ten Sports has made special arrangements with the French Tennis Federation to ensure that all her matches starting from the first round will be shown live, says an official release.

The channel has broadcast this premier tennis event ever since the channel launched in 2002. With the new deal, the French Open will be available live and exclusive to millions of tennis fans in India only on Ten Sports.

Just a few weeks back, the channel had also announced its acquisition of the US Open, the fourth and the final Grand Slam tennis championship of the year. With both these championship events along with the Dubai Open and the Indian Open, which was played in Chennai in January, Ten Sports has been bringing viewers the finest bouquet of tennis action, the release adds.
