BANGALORE: Doordarshan's Bangalore Kendra director R Venkateswarlu is moving to New Delhi to the Prasar Bharati directorate. Venkateswarlu, who was relieved from 5 January, will be shifting to Delhi in about two week's time.
"A few vacancies are there at the directorate and they want me to join there as a senior man. My replacement Mahesh Joshi happens to be the local man and he has taken over as director of DD Bangalore Kendra," says Venkateswarlu.
Venkateswarlu was instrumental in increasing DD Bangalore's employee output.
"We have tried to get the employees involvement in functioning. The biggest problem has been creating a team spirit. Dr. Ravi Shankar's Art of Living course has helped us on this. We have even started our popular Chandana channel without any extra staff or expenses," he said in a recent interview with indiantelevision.com.
