Prasar Bharati seeks noon time social soaps

MUMBAI: Prasar Bharati has invited proposals for serials and soaps based on socially relevant issues. 
The notice placed by the national broadcaster in all the leading dailies calls out to experienced producers to send in proposals for shows for the national channel of Doordarshan, under the sponsored category for mid prime time slots (12:00 pm to 2:00 pm) from Monday to Friday.
It however specifies that proposals offered or telecast on any other channel earlier will not be accepted.
The notice further states that proposals should be accompanied with a detailed storyline of the serial/soap , synopsis of each episode, an outline of treatment, detailed shooting script for at least four episodes along with particulars of director, scriptwriter, director of photography, star cast and a pilot episode.
The proposals along with the pilot should be submitted with a demand draft of Rs 25,000 in favour of PBBCI:DG: Doordarshan, New Delhi. The proposals will be accepted till 3:00 pm on 28 February 2003.
