Sahara Manoranjan claims to have crossed 100 GRP points

MUMBAI: The Karishma imbroglio notwithstanding, Sahara Manoranjan has been gaining viewership for its entertainment programmes.
As per the recently released TAM media report for Hindi speaking markets in Cable & Satellite households with viewers from all age groups, Sahara Manoranjan has recorded viewership ratings of 103 GRPs.
Sahara's publicity and PR VP Pria Raj says, "It is interesting to note that three metro cities in the Hindi speaking markets have contributed 44 per cent to the total viewership. The West Zone has contributed 68 per cent followed by the North Zone with 21 per cent and the East with 11 per cent."
Zindagi... Teri Meri Kahani with a TVR of 1.6 followed by Ankhen with 1.5. Hindi blockbuster movies like Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai and Shararat have also contributed to the gain in viewership. It is also giving the three major broadcasters Star, Sony and Zee a beating in the kids segment. Just Kids, the popular children’s programme on Sahara Manoranjan anchored by Yash Pathak, currently showing animation series Jungle Book and Simba, the Lion King, is the most watched children’s programme, way ahead of Star Plus, Sony and Zee, says the channel, quoting Tam data for the week ended 21 June c&s homes 4-14 Hindi speaking markets.
