MUMBAI: BBC World News, the BBC‘s international 24-hour news and information channel, is set to host the fifth year of Spirit of Golf tournament on 27 March at the Eagleton ?The Golf Resort, Bangalore.
BBC World News is hosting the event in association with the Ministry of Tourism, India, which has been associated with the tournament since its inception. Participants including corporate leaders and senior officials will compete for prizes as well as the privilege of winning Spirit of Golf 2010. There will also be a Golf Clinic to initiate beginners to the basics of golfing.
Jonathan Howlett, Senior VP, Global Advertising Sales, BBC Worldwide, says, ?I am really looking forward to Spirit of Golf 2010, being hosted for the first time in Bangalore. It?s equally great to be continuing our long standing association with the Ministry of Tourism. The tournament provides an opportunity for industry leaders to come together and interact in that special way that a game of golf provides.?
Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Thistle, Gouman, HP, M3M, Microsoft are sponsors for the tournament. The event will be managed by Tiger Sports Management.
