MUMBAI: Talking of music, it inspires a debate whether it was the simple good old melodious songs or is it the current hip hop techno fad among the music lovers across the city! Sandalwood?s very own well known gorgeous ladies Pooja Gandhi and Sudha Rani went on a music expedition today at Radio Mirchi
98.3 FM to explore the best of Sandalwood music through the years of their existence in the industry!

The rendezvous of the beauties was facilitated by Radio Mirchi following the introduction two shows - ?Rewind Raga? & ?Mirchi Talkies? that plays musical melody starting from of 50?s to 90?s. With these shows, Radio Mirchi is the only FM radio station in the city to play such a wide variety of music spanning across three decades. Soulful melodies from Kasturi Nivasa to Anand, Premaloka to Mungaru Male, Manasare etc?will now regale listeners and add music to their lives.

Discussing the music from ?aa kaladinda? (then) and ?ee kaaladavaregu?
(now), Pooja who is in the initial years of her journey into the industry was seen curiously interrogating the ace Sudha Rani of her times in Sandalwood.

Pooja: What was the music like in your times?

Sudha: Older Songs had its own eloquence, lyrics was lot more meaningful and were written keeping the actors in mind. Appaji?s songs are my all time favourites. Miss listening to such songs, good to know that Radio Mirchi has introduced a retro band for people like me who enjoy listening to old songs

Pooja: What do you think of the current trend of music?

Sudha: Music these days has lost its eloquence and melody, but few songs in like Birugaali, Mungaaru Male, Gaalipata have some good songs which I listen to FM radio stations like Radio Mirchi. Madhura pisumathige?. is my current favourite.

Quizzing Pooja about her experience in Sandalwood, Sudha questions Pooja:

Sudha: Have you got a chance to listen retro music?

Pooja: Ofcourse Yes! Old songs never fails to entertain be it the original tracks nor the remix versions. I am great fan of retro Hindi songs specially R D Burman?s music, ?Pal pal dil ke paas??.? is my all time favourite song.

Sudha: How about Old Kannada songs? Have you heard anytime?

Pooja: Hmmm?frankly except for few Dr. Rajkumar?s songs, I haven?t really got an opportunity to listen to old songs, now that Radio Mirchi has introduced the retro band; I am hoping to catch up on the one?s that have missed! Though not really a retro song, Jothe jotheyali is my favourite from the 80?s.
