While the last season ended with a love triangle between Susan, Mike and Katherine, this season opens with a wedding of one of them to Mike while the other is driven to a mental breakdown. Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Tom Scavo (Doug Savant) face the challenging realities of yet another pregnancy; Bree Hodge (Marcia Cross) struggles to break free of Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) and her inhibitions; and Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria Parker) is put to the test by husband Carlos‘ (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) teenaged niece now in their care. A new housewife moves to Wisteria Lane with her family, bringing along secrets shrouded in mystery. Angie Bolen (Drea de Matteo) and her husband, Nick (Jeffrey Nordling), have moved into the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. But when their peculiar son, Danny (Beau Mirchoff), causes a stir, they risk the threat of revealing their shameful past.
A primetime soap with a truly contemporary take on the "happily ever after," "Desperate Housewives" takes a darkly comedic look at suburbia, where the secret lives of housewives aren‘t always what they seem. Desperate Housewives is narrated from the perspective of Mary Alice Young ? a perfect housewife who had everything a woman could want?until she put a bullet to her temple! Now dead, and infinitely wiser, she peeps into the secret lives of all her neighbors, who are seemingly just as perfect but just as unhappy as she was. As each of Mary Alice?s friends on Wisteria Lane wonder and probe in their own ways the real reasons for her death, the plot weaves its way around their own lives, affairs and bring out the skeletons in their closets.
