  • Yahoo! India presents the BIG IDEA CHAIR Advertising Award 2011

    New Delhi, India, 19 August, 2011: It is that time of the year when the best digital advertising innovations will be cheered and celebrated by the Indian advertising fraternity. Yahoo! India, the premier digital media company today opened entries to the second annual Big Idea Chair award, one of the most prestigious awards in the advertising industry. With over 183 entries last year, the Big Idea Chair awards invite contributions by clients, agency strategists, media gurus and individuals who have creatively leveraged the digital advertising platform. The award ceremony will be held in October 2011 in New Delhi. Agencies can submit their entries on www.bigideachair.in by 5th September, 2011.

    Celebrating the quest for innovative and impactful advertising campaigns, the Big Idea Chair, a global initiative by Yahoo!, recognizes some of the best work by the online advertising community and also fosters creative excellence that enabled marketing excellence in digital advertising. Advertising agencies can submit entries that have included the use of the Internet as part of their media mix strategy over the last twelve months. All entries will be adjudged on creativity, proven results and flawless execution.

    This year?s Big Idea Chair award presents nine interesting award categories ?

    • Best Use of Display Advertising: Most creative and innovative use of display advertising
    • Best Online Video Advertising: Online video ads or series of videos created for the digital medium
    • Best Use of Social Media: Innovative use of social media for brand advertising
    • Best Use of Technology: Innovative use of technology for digital advertising on the internet or mobile
    • Digital 360? Award: Campaigns that strategically used digital as the core medium and implemented all digital channels including display, search, social, mobile.
    • Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award: The flagship award. The winner will win the prestigious purple Big Idea Chair award.
    • Best Use of Mobile Advertising: Campaigns that used mobile as a medium for digital advertising to effectively communicate the brand message, engage consumers or meet a brand objective.
    • Best Use of Search: Creative and effective use of search in a campaign
    • Best Use of Regional Languages: The best creative use of regional languages (beyond English) in digital advertising.
  • Investor Ki Kahani Usiki Zubani now comes to Delhi

    Mumbai: Investor Ki Kahani Usi Ki Zubani, an initiative by Motilal Oswal Securities and Zee Business is an endeavor to educate the investors about the nuances of investing in stock markets. It is a unique series of on-ground seminars, which are being held in different cities across India and telecast exclusively on Zee Business.

    This initiative aims to invite investors to share common problems and mistakes made during investing and in turn get expert advice on how to solve those problems. Shortlisted profiles are invited to get their problems addressed at the seminar. Also, at the seminar, experts from Motilal Oswal will provide insights on Investing v/s Trading & the latest outlook on markets.

    The show has been a huge success! Within 10 days since the launch of this show, more than 600 investors have registered to be part of this unique television show. The on-ground seminars kicked off on July 2, 2011 at BSE in Mumbai, followed by Ahmedabad and Kolkata. All three events saw a colossal turnout with more than 700 investors attending the session.

    Here?s another plot which is thickening by the day! The eternal lovers, Dev (Avinash Sachdev) and Radhika (Rubina Dilaik), are on the verge of taking their wedding vows and like always, the road to their unison is not going to be a smooth one.

    Everybody knows that Dev is the next successor of the Rajpurohit title? To claim the position of ?Rajpurohit?, Dev has to get married and get a ?Chhoti Bahu? in the family. Dadaji, the current Rajpurohit of the family, has not given his consent for Dev and Radhika?s marriage because to the world, Radhika was earlier married to Rohan. Dadaji instructs that Dev should ideally get married to Barkha and make her the Chhoti Bahu of the family.

    Dev is slated to marry Barkha on the auspicious occasion of Janmasthami. To make the wedding memorable, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li?l Champs, Azmat, Rimsha, Niladri, Nitin, Sanjana and others will celebrate the rituals of ?Dahi Handi? with the Rajpurohit family.

    While the preparations of Dev and Barkha?s marriage are on full swing, Barkha does all that it take for Dev and Radhika to get united. She puts haldi in Radhika?s legs, makes her a part of all the customs and tries to remain in the background. So even though people think that she will be the one marrying Dev, Barkha is preparing for Dev and Radhika?s union. Don?t miss the part when Dev secretly takes Radhika on the terrace and does a waltz on a poignant number!

    Barkha lies to Radhika that Dadaji has agreed to get her married to Dev and on the other hand lies to Dadaji that Radhika has accepted the fact that she cannot get married to Dev. This lie helps Radhika seek the Dadaji?s blessings and in turn pave the way for her eternal union with Dev. Radhika is not aware of the fact that Barkha has lied to her and she agrees to dress up as the bride. Barkha gets a confidante and convinces Mona (Sara Khan) of Ram Milaye Jodi to take the bride to the mandap. Mona also gives a fabulous performance at the wedding function that has all on their feet dancing away.

    Who will make it to the mandap ? Radhika or Barkha? Who between Radhika or Barkha will Dev end up marrying finally?
