    The Star channels - Star Plus and Star Gold went live on BARB on 20th Sep 2010.

India‘s favorite kids‘ channel POGO, offered kids a never before opportunity to star with their favourite toon hero Chhota Bheem on POGO.   • 9XM rules the youth music space in India

    MUMBAI: 9XM has regained its NUMERO UNO position among the key youth segment in India‘s music television genre, as per the latest TAM Data for Week 41, 2010. The 24-hour, all-time-prime-time channel dedicated to only the biggest and best hits of Bollywood music, has not only overtaken all other music channels but has also established an unprecedented leadership position in the world‘s biggest youth market. 9XM has garnered these GRPs by airing only their regular repertoire of Bollywood songs.

    According to TAM reports for Week 41, 2010, 9XM has garnered 31.5 GRPs in the C&S 15-24 years, way ahead of all other music television channels in India. 9XM is also the highest gainer of GRPs in this key youth segment, gaining 8.1 GRPs, while majority of the Music Channels have slipped on their GRPs.

    MUMBAI: On this Saturday?s episode of Zee TV?s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar, heartthrob John Abraham was in a particularly mischievous mood! Hearing that talented contestant Abhilasha speaks many languages, he insisted that she proposes to anchor Manish Paul in Hindi, then rejects him in Marathi and finally accepts John?s proposal in chaste Malayalam when he goes down on a knee with a red rose ? ! Abhilasha said, ?John Abraham proposing to me was certainly something unbelievable. I was on the seventh heaven!?

    When the sporting contestant indulged the hunk on all his cheeky requests, it was John?s turn to give in to her demand.

    Abhilasha cornered John saying, ?We?ve seen you do everything on screen except SING. Now?s the time to let the world see a new side of John!? Having embarrassed the poor girl by making her do the silliest of things, there was no way John could turn Abhilasha?s request down! So, up he went on the stage and took to the microphone and lo behold?it was a voice worth listening to!!! Dazzling the junta with a soulful rendition of his haunting melody from Jism- ?Aawarapan Banjarapan?, Johnny had the audience begging for more! ?I am usually shy about singing but made an exception for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa since it?s one of my favorite shows. I was overwhelmed when the mentors said I could hold a tune well!? John winked, ?Maybe, I haven?t yet explored the singer in me?.
