  • India's largest cycling event - BSA Hercules India Cyclothon - Mumbai 2010

    MUMBAI: Sport18, the sports marketing division of the Network18 group and ID Sports - a sports management company have joined hands today with TI Cycles and the Being Human - the Salman Khan Foundation to launch India‘s first ever international cycling event, Mumbai Cyclothon - Tour De Mumbai to be held at Bandra Reclamation on Sunday, 21st February, 2010. The events will co-incide with the Mumbai chapter of the BSA Hercules India Cyclothon - Mumbai 2010 a community ride "to promote the practice of cycling in the city".

    The ride will have participants from all walks of life including amateur cyclists, cycling enthusiasts, working professionals, house wives and school children, thus adding colour and festivities to the whole event. The event will be marked by the presence of a host of celebrities, officials from CFI, Maharashtra Cycling Association and corporates.

    The BSA Hercules India Cyclothon will have multiple categories - the Amateur Ride of 24 Kms, the Corporate Ride of 24 Kms, the Green Ride of 12 Kms and the Kids Ride (for youngsters between the ages of 8 and 13) of 2 Kms.

  • 1 million kids want to be the next Super Gamer of the country!

    MUMBAI: Mumbai witnessed the grand finale of ?Parle-G Zapak Super Gamer III? on 6th February 2010 where 16 kids from across the country battled it out to be the next Super Gamer. After having received an over-whelming response continuously for the past 3 years, ?Parle-G Zapak Super Gamer III?, this year, received fantastic response with over 1 million kids participating from across the country to be the next Super Gamer. Parle?G and Zapak, together, are trying to boost the culture of online gaming amongst children in India by conducting this national event annually.

    The preliminary round of the tournament was to be played online through www.supergamer.zapak.com. Gamers from four zones participated in this battle for a period of 45 days. Based on leader board, 20 gamers from each zone were shortlisted for the city finals which took place on 30th January.

    4 gamers each from the city finals participated in the grand finale to bag the title of the next ?Super Gamer?. Besides having a lot of fun and a lot of gaming for the kids, the tournament offered an exciting prize of actually creating a game on the winner of the tournament!

    The winners - Rajesh Singh from Delhi was crowned as the Super Gamer III. Dilip Prasad M from Bangalore and Shah Zaman Pasha from Bangalore were the runner ups.
