  • Auro goes on air, exclusively on BIG 92.7 FM

    MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM, India?s No. 1 FM Station spread across 45 cities of the country treated listeners to the best aural experience possible on Tuesday morning, with none other than the legend ?Amitabh Bachchan? himself, in true Auro style! On a radio station for the first time ever, the actor promoted his forthcoming and much awaited film PAA with RJ?s Rani and Vrajesh Hirjee over a t?te-?-t?te which wouldn?t take much to convince anyone that the jocks were in conversation with a 13 year old.

    AB Corp Ltd?s. presentation ?PAA? in association with Reliance BIG Pictures and produced by MAD Entertainment Ltd. is the most eagerly awaited film of recent times. As listeners across the 45 Stations lined up to speak with their favorite actor, the phone lines just wouldn?t stop ringing! To their pleasant surprise and amazement listeners were greeted with a voice of an amiable 13 year old on the other side of the line, many of them asking for Amitabh Bachchan, finding it hard to believe someone could sound so similar to a 13 year old.

    The show was entertainment packed as RJ Rani was heard proposing to Auro ? while he politely kept turning her down! Questions ranged from Auro?s likes and dislikes, his homework and bribing others into helping him get it done, his computer, his best friend ? the monkey and much more. In fact if he was given the option of 3 things that he would ask of a genie? it would be his computer, chocolates and his monkey!

    Adding to the excitement was Auro singing the movie song? once again, in a voice that couldn?t pass for one of over a 13 year old. The show was action entertainment packed with witty one liners coming in from Auro, giving listeners a complete aural treat!

    Speaking on the occasion, the excited breakfast jock duo ? RJ?s Rani and Vrajesh echoed, ?To be able to interview the legend himself, live and in person, was more than a dream come true! To see him effortlessly transform from a 65 year old to that of Auro a 13 year old so convincingly is a never forgettable experience. In some places we were having a tough time convincing listeners too, who thought we were actually pulling a prank on them! In the end, we gifted Auro a bunch of things that he likes ? chocolates and games and the look on his face was not a year older than that of a 13 year old! We wish the film all the success and our best wishes to the legend himself.?

    One of the most awaited films of recent times ?Paa? has generated huge interest amongst film-goers. This bright and cheerful family entertainer directed by R. Balakrishnan will release worldwide on December 4, 2009. Other than the venerable Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Paa also stars Vidya Balan. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja, lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and cinematography by PC Sreeram.

  • Khichdi party for children at Red FM

    MUMBAI: Red FM is bajaaoing once again; this time it is for a noble cause. As part of the ?Bajaao for a cause? mission Red FM joined hands with ISKCON Food Relief Foundation (IFRF) to instrument School=Lunch, a project driven by the Government of India with the objective to liberate underprivileged children from the scourge of hunger and malnutrition. Through the on-air campaign Rs. 14 lakhs has already been collected till date from donors across Mumbai and the collections are expected to reach Rs. 20 Lakhs in the coming days! To celebrate the success of this campaign actor Vivek Oberoi visited the Red FM studio today.

    A special ?Khichdi Party? was organized where Vivek Oberoi and RJ Malishka served hot, nutritious and healthy khichdi to underprivileged children at the Red FM studio. Vivek Oberoi appreciated the efforts taken towards the School=Lunch programme through which Red FM and ISKCON Food Relief Foundation collected money as contribution towards a years supply of mid day meals for underprivileged children.

    Speaking about the success of the campaign, Anuj Singh, National Marketing Head said, ?Red FM Bajaao for a Cause is our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative under which we have actioned many campaigns successfully making a difference to lives of people. Red FM has always believed in actioning activities that highlight the brand as being socially conscious. We believe that we are ?the? platform for people to express and speak their mind hence the initiatives. We are truly delighted with the generous contribution to the tune of 14 lakhs that we have received from the people towards this initiative and hope for the same kind of support in our future ventures.?.

    Commenting on the experience RJ Malishka said, "Bajaao for a cause has been an initiative close to my heart. Every year on the occasion of my show‘s anniversary, we launch a special social project under this. This year we associated with the ISKCON FRF?s School=Lunch campaign, to provide funds for mid day meals for underprivileged children. I have personally visited the kitchen and seen the quality of khichdi being prepared. We are proud to be associated this cause and hope our contribution helps in keeping these kids in school!"
