  • UTV is the fastest growing broadcasting network in the country

    MUMBAI: UGBL (Broadcasting arm of UTV Software Ltd) is the fastest growing network channel in the country by garnering 113 GRPs in week 45 with its channels UTV Bindass, UTV World Movies, UTV Bindass Movies and UTV Movies.

    UTV Bindass in the TG of CS 15 to 34 AB HSM 1MN+ got 26 GRPs on the back of some great programming, rocking music and specific distribution focus on key markets. This week Bindass is way ahead of competition channels like MTV and Channel V and is certainly on an upward trajectory.

    UTV World Movies has also grown over its last week performance to hit 5 GRPs. (TG CS 25+A Top 5 Metros) It is right on the top of all the new launches in the English Movie space post its launch.

    UTV Bindass Movies has hit a high of 30 GRPs (CS 15 to 34 ABC HSM) which is the highest ever for the channel and is 3 times ahead of Star Movies and HBO.

    UTV Movies clocked 52 GRPs (CS4+ HSM), the highest ever for the channel since its launch. This has been achieved on the back of planned acquisition of content, inventory & break planning and enhanced distribution in key markets. UTV Movies continues to be the flagship channel of the network driving growth in viewership.

    Commenting on this, M.K. Anand, CEO, UTV broadcasting Ltd. said, "It is extremely happy situation that UTV Broadcasting has been the fastest growing broadcasting network, a growth of 89 %.     Day 4 on Sunsilk Big Switch does not start with the elaborate breakfast in bed. However, the contestants have to make breakfast for the team on a budget of Rs.5. Pooja, Umesh, Bindi and Sabah are the chosen chefs. On the menu is Halwa, and the ingredients have to be collected by Hook or by Crook!
    The 4 of them soon realize that Rs5 isn?t worth much, and they will have to rough it out if they want to be able to feed the team. From making rotis to teaching, they go through it all, before Sabah finally announces ?Breakfast is ready.?

    The 4th Episode also sees the formation of the ?Secret Agents? ? whose agenda ranges from playing pranks to getting contestants to bitch about each other. For the evening task, the teams are asked to go out on the road and polish the shoes for complete strangers. This was a money task, and as soon as the briefing was over, the teams ran out onto the street. Siddhartha even went to the extent of stopping richshawallas and polishing their chappals!! Engrossed in the task, Sunny was in for a complete surprise when his girlfriend, Bruna Abdullha turned up at the venue and saw him begging people to let him polish their shoes.
