Earlier this month, Hussain Basha, from the remote village in Koppal district of Karnataka, pocketed Rs 10 million in an episode of ?Kannada Kotyadipathi? season 2 which is to be telecast on 29 April at 8.30 pm on Suvarna TV (part of the Star Network).
Then today, Sanuja, a last grade assistant in Collectorate from Thiruvananthapuram answered all 15 questions correctly to win the coveted Rs. 10 million prize money on Asianet?s Ningalukkumaakam Kodeeswaran (NAK), the Malayalam version of game show.
The Hindi version of the international game show is known as Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) hosted by the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan airs on Sony Entertainment Television (SET).
Sanuja, a 37 year old mother of two and wife of a casual labourer, plans to use the moolah to build her own house, educating her sons and save the remaining money to meet challenges in life. Her historic victory will be aired by the channel on 30 April.

MUMBAI: Amrita TV, the Malayalam general entertainment channel, is set to launch a sitcom series titled ?Just Fun ? Chumma?.
Starting 29 October, the new show will air Monday to Thursday at 8.30 pm.
Modeled on the popular American series ?F.R.I.E.N.D.S?, ?Just Fun ?Chumma? is a situational comedy or sitcom that fields a regular set of five characters sharing the same environment and repeated in each episode.
According to the channel, each episode is a complete, self-contained independent story with its own conflict and resolution, so that the viewers can join in at any point of the series without missing the earlier plot line.
The story revolves around five people who are in their 20s. Roy is an NRI, a responsible big brother who has opened a coffee-shop; Tony is the irresponsible younger sibling for whom life is one long, flirtatious fling; Anand is a wannabe actor who sets out for the big city, promising his parents he will return a hero; Parvathy is a health obsessed, materialistic, gym instructor and Sarah is a hotel management graduate, who is a health freak reaching for her mop at the slightest excuse.
Set up in an urban environment, the action takes place either in the flat they all share or the coffee shop where they hang out together. The story of each episode spins out naturally from their daily lives, their routines and the interactions between the characters.
MUMBAI: Raj Television Network, which operates 12 channels in five languages, has reported its net profit rose 71.66 per cent to Rs 32.1 million in the quarter ended 30 June from Rs 18.7 million a year earlier.
Sales of the Chennai-based television network rose 23.44 per cent in the first quarter to Rs 162.7 million in the quarter ended June 2012 from Rs 131.8 million a year earlier.
Raj?s expenses rose to Rs 120.13 million during the quarter from Rs 111.15 million due to an increase in cost of revenues to Rs 62.95 million from Rs 53.91 a year earlier.
